Tsuchiura Nihon University Secondary School is seeking an enthusiastic, creative and driven English teacher to join our school's English Oral Communication team.

TNUSS English Oral Communication teachers are responsible for teaching English communication and Academic English classes to junior and senior high school students, as well as for supporting the use of English throughout the school. This position is for a period of one year initially, renewable based on performance.

Job Description:
1) Teaching duties: 15 to 16 50-minute classes per week within a 40-hour work week. Responsibilities include developing teaching materials and lessons plans, unit plans and conversation/listening exercises, coaching for in-school and interscholastic meets, and preparation for various testing such as EIKEN, TOEFL and IELTS.
2) Administrative: TNUSS OC teachers are also required to attend meetings, assist in school events and activities assist in administration of in-house tests and cooperate with the school's PR department in various school promotion activities.

Faculty work from Monday to Friday at 8:30AM-4:30PM, and Saturdays from 8:30AM-2PM

1) Native English level Proficiency
2) Experience teaching non-native speakers of English
3) Able to plan and consistently deliver high quality lessons to students with
diverse needs and abilities.
5) Experience in collaborative planning and working in a multi-cultural workplace

1) Salary based on experience, transportation allowance, medical insurance, visa sponsorship
2) Generous vacation periods: 20 days paid personal holiday, Japanese holidays, including spring, summer and winter breaks.
